City of Searcy Welcomes New Finance Director

The City of Searcy is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Shiles as the new Finance Director. With over 25 years of logistics and supply chain experience, including more than 20 years managing multiple site warehouses, hubs, and distribution operations, and over 30 years of management experience, Shiles brings a wealth of expertise to this vital role. 

“Andy brings extensive leadership and financial management experience to our city,” Mayor Mat Faulkner said. “We are thrilled to have him on our team. His expertise will be invaluable as we plan for the future growth and financial health of Searcy.”

The new position of Finance Director was created to oversee the City’s financial planning and accounting practices, as well as its relationships with lending institutions, citizens, and the financial community. Shiles will be responsible for developing long-range plans for the City’s financial operations, including revenue growth, taxation, borrowing, and capital improvements programs. He will also support City leadership with budget planning and the development of policies and procedures for the City’s finances.

Shiles is originally from Oklahoma and is currently living in Memphis, TN. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Memphis. He will be relocating to Searcy for this new position. 

“I am eager to contribute to the City of Searcy’s financial success and to become a part of this wonderful community,” Shiles said. “Searcy feels like home, and I look forward to the many opportunities and challenges ahead.”
